Why The Best Designer Clothes Have No Logo

Recognition by construction
A controlled sleeve, matched pattern, balanced lapel and fabric selected for drape can communicate more than a mark. This is not an argument that every logo is vulgar; it is an argument for knowing what remains when the logo is removed.
The strongest designer garment earns attention at close range. It should move well, alter well and return to use without requiring a particular season's styling.
The wardrobe test
Turn the garment inside out. Examine seams, allowance, lining and closure. Ask whether the material suits the intended climate and whether specialist care is realistic.
Quiet luxury is not a colour palette. It is the discipline of selecting objects whose quality can be experienced without explanation.
