The EGL Curation Standard

Everything Goes Luxury recommends selectively. Before a beauty house is featured as a recommendation — or considered as a partner — we look at how its products are made, how production is kept clean and safe, and how the people behind it are treated. Partners who do not meet the standard are declined.

I

Documented manufacturing

The house operates, or openly names, its own research and production sites. We want to know where a product is developed and made — not only where it is sold.

Evidence we look for: named sites, cosmetics good manufacturing practice (ISO 22716), quality or environmental certification (ISO 9001 / ISO 14001).

II

Hygiene and product safety

Products sold in Europe must meet the EU Cosmetics Regulation. We look for houses that go beyond the minimum and are transparent about how production is kept clean and controlled.

Evidence we look for: EU regulatory compliance, documented hygiene routines and pest control in production, published safety assessments.

III

Working conditions

Craft is made by people. A house we recommend should be open about how it treats its own staff and what it expects of its suppliers.

Evidence we look for: a published supplier code of conduct, social audits, employer reporting.

How we assess

We rely on public, verifiable sources: the house's own published information, certificates and regulatory records. Where something cannot be confirmed, we say it is unconfirmed rather than assume it. A brand cannot pay to be judged as meeting the standard.

Partnerships

Paid and affiliate partners are held to the same standard as editorial recommendations. Affiliate links are always disclosed where they appear — see Partners.

An example: Sisley Paris

Sisley describes itself as a family company, founded in 1976 by Hubert and Isabelle d'Ornano and led today by the family. According to the house, its research and development laboratories are in Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône (Val-d'Oise), and its own factory in Blois (Loir-et-Cher) manufactures and packages its beauty products — production it keeps in France.
