The Art of Packing for a Hotel That Has Everything

A curated note on arriving with less when the house has already anticipated almost everything.

Pack for transitions

The useful wardrobe follows the day's changes: arrival, breakfast, movement, evening and weather. A small number of compatible layers usually serves better than outfits designed for single photographs.

Confirm what the hotel supplies, but do not assume specialist equipment, formal dress or personal-care preferences. Precision is quieter than excess.

Leave room for place

Choose fabrics that recover, shoes already known to be comfortable and one evening layer with enough structure. Carry medication, essential documents and irreplaceable items personally.

The art is not appearing unprepared. It is avoiding luggage that competes with the journey.
